Accessibility Statement

The standard we build to

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the accessibility standard most public websites are measured against, and it covers things like readable color contrast, being able to use a site with a keyboard instead of a mouse, and making sure a screen reader can describe what is on the page.

We built this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we test it against that standard as we build, on every page, rather than as a one-time review at the end. That is not a claim of formal certification, and no automated check catches everything.

What we have done

These are not a philosophy. Each is a specific measure already built into this site, checked as part of how the site gets built, not added on afterward.

• Everything clickable can also be reached with the keyboard, and whatever you land on is outlined so you can see where you are.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the scroll animations do not run at all, and the content still appears.
• Every page uses real headings in order, with one main heading and clear regions, so you can move by heading instead of reading everything.
• Colors are chosen for contrast, not just for looks, and links are underlined so color is never the only way to spot one.
• Every field on the estimate form and the review form has a label, so a screen reader announces what it is asking for.
• Buttons and links are sized to be tapped easily on a phone, without needing precise aim.

Where this site may still fall short

This site was checked for accessibility as it was built, and audited again as a whole before launch. We are not aware of anything on this site that is currently blocking someone from using it — but no site is ever finished, and no automated check catches everything a person might run into. If something here does not work for you, we would rather hear about it than assume we already know.

This statement describes the site as it is on the date at the top of this page. We check accessibility as we make changes to the site, and we update this page whenever what is true about it changes, rather than leaving an old description in place.
